How Kieran Drew turned a simple photo into a signature brand asset
Welcome to Day 13 of the 30 Days of Growth.
This is a pop-up newsletter put together by Chenell from Growth In Reverse. I’ve pulled 30 creators together to help give one short, actionable way you can either grow or improve your email list.

Most people end their emails with a boring sign-off.
Kieran Drew ends his with a photo of him holding a handwritten phrase.
He’s been doing it for over two years – and at this point, people expect it.
It’s not flashy. It’s not automated. It’s not even “strategic” in the traditional sense.
But it’s one of the most memorable elements in his entire brand.

He borrowed the idea from Justin Gough, who used to end his emails with similar notes. Kieran liked the idea so much that he made it part of his own process – and eventually, his identity.
Today, people comment on the notes. They screenshot them. They’ve even sent in their own versions.
It’s a simple way to show personality in an inbox full of faceless writing, and that’s exactly why it works.
